Il produttore francese ToTom è conosciuto per i suoi mash up, ma l’ultimo suo lavoro è destinato a far parlare di sè. Il progetto intitolato Kanye of the Stone Age, vede mescolare i brani di Kanye West con quelli dei Queens of the Stone Age, un mix che risulta crudo, potente e tagliente.
Il progetto raccoglie 12 tracce, tra cui spiccano Black Skinhead Does It Again, che mescola il brano tratto da Yeezus Black Skinhead con Do It Again, tratto da Songs for the Deaf oppure Jesus Walks with the Flow, una fusione tra Jesus Walks e Go With the Flow; ed ancora Make It Wit Barry Bonds, che combina Barry Bonds da Graduation e Make It Wit Chu da Era Vulgaris.
Il devoluto delle vendite di questo album sarà devoluto in beneficenza, all’associazione di Josh Homme, Sweet Stuff Foundation, nata dopo gli attentati di Parigi a sostegno delle famiglie delle vittime.
